Scott Shane, PhD, Mixon Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies at CWRU, and alumnus Vikram Gupta, MBA (MGT ‘01), Founder and Managing Partner of IvyCap Ventures, for a gathering of Case Western Reserve University alumni and a presentation by Professor Shane on securing startup capital and pitching potential investors.

Scott Shane, PhD | Professor | Case Western Reserve University
Shane is the A. Malichi Mixon III Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies at Case Western Reserve University. He is the 2009 winner of the Global Award for Entrepreneurship Research, the most prestigious award in his academic field. Shane has written extensively about entrepreneurship and innovation, including a top ten book of the year on Amazon. Shane is the Managing Partner of Comeback Capital, a venture fund investing across the Midwest. He received his Bachelor of Arts at Brown University, Master’s of Science degrees at the University of Pennsylvania and Georgetown University, and a PhD in applied economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
